The mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna honors the internationally renowned women's and gender researcher Evelyn Torton Beck. The Vienna-born U.S. scientist receives the award for her outstanding scientific activities and her commitment, with which she opened up a rich spectrum of topics critical of science and society in close connection with art.
